Black Galaxy Granite

Description

Black Galaxy Granite is a multi-purpose granite ideal for the commercial and domestic environments lending itself to cladding, flooring, countertops and many other uses both exterior and interior plus it is frost resistant.

Colour(s)

Fine to medium-grained, black with sparkling yellow / silver reflectors. A clear epoxy resin filler may be used to give a smooth surface touch.

Surface Finish

Polished, honed, leather/satin, river-washed/antique, thermal/flamed, flamed & brushed, water-jet, bush-hammered, sandblast and sawn finish.

Black Galaxy Granite Quality Standards

1. Black Galaxy Q1 First Choice: Slabs & tiles clean of any visible veining.
2. Black Galaxy Q2 Standard / Classic Quality: Slabs & tiles with one or two visible veins known as mergeable lines.
3. Black Galaxy Q3 Commercial Quality: Slabs & tiles with two, three or more visible veins known as mergeable lines.

Sealing

It is unlikely that a sealant can be used on Black Galaxy Granite, test first with a small sample.
